Evolution Mining's Cowal Gold Operations in NSW is seeking a Senior Engineer - Medium Term Planning (Underground). You will shape underground mine plans, stope designs and schedules across a planning horizon that informs budgets, development priorities and long‑term growth for the operation.

Based near West Wyalong, you’ll collaborate with operations, geology, geotechnical and planning teams on practical, value‑driven plans.

Qualifications

• Mining Engineering degree or equivalent qualification.
• Strong hands on capability using Deswik for mine design and scheduling.
• Experience developing and optimising underground mine plans and forecasts.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Knowledge of underground hard rock mining methods and operational planning processes.

Responsibilities

• Deliver practical medium-term underground mine plans, stope designs and schedules that support safe, efficient and value driven outcomes.
• Influence key business decisions through scenario analysis, optimisation studies and long range planning initiatives.
• Partner closely with operations, geology, geotechnical and planning teams to align mine plans with production and growth objectives.
• Drive continuous improvement opportunities that enhance mine planning systems, processes and operational performance.

As a Senior Engineer - Medium Term Planning (Underground), you'll play a critical role in shaping how Cowal's underground mine evolves over the next several years. Working across a planning horizon that directly influences budgets, investment decisions, mine development priorities and long-term growth, your work will have a genuine impact on the future success of the operation.

Working a 5:2/4:3 roster and based residentially near West Wyalong, NSW, you'll join a site at an exciting stage of growth, helping unlock opportunities across our expanding underground operation while enjoying the lifestyle benefits of regional living and a balanced roster.

Reporting to the Superintendent - Medium Term Planning, you'll:
