Job summary

Resourceful Recruitment is hiring to build a new planning and analytics function for a leading Australian energy business. This newly created role offers exposure to senior stakeholders and a clear path to a Centre of Excellence within 18–24 months across Australia, New Zealand, and trading operations.

You’ll own medium-term planning across operations, trading and shipping, turning complex data into insights for executive decisions. Lead a growing analytics team and shape the function’s future.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in planning, value chain, commercial analysis and analytics.
• Solid grasp of how a supply chain works beyond spreadsheet modelling.
• Experience leading or building analytics teams and defining structure.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning and analysis that supports commercial decisions, tactical analysis and medium-term planning.
• Build and develop a high-performing analytics team and define its scope and operating model.
• Understand end-to-end supply chain and translate numbers into actionable insights for senior stakeholders.
• Review current analytical methods and introduce future best practice.
• Shape and deliver a change plan in partnership with stakeholders across the business.
• Present and test recommendations with senior leaders.
