Cubic Defence Australia is seeking an experienced Integrated Communications Project Manager to lead the delivery, sustainment and modernisation of critical communications capabilities supporting defence training systems and operations. Based in Townsville, this role offers the opportunity to contribute to nationally significant programs while leading technical teams, managing strategic suppliers and supporting the continued evolution of advanced communications infrastructure.
Cubic Defence Australia supports a range of programs and solutions for the Australian Defence Force, including training and simulation systems and services, live, virtual and constructive training solutions, and C5ISR capabilities. With Australian operations headquartered in Townsville, Cubic delivers technical support, systems integration and simulation-enabled training services that help improve readiness and operational effectiveness.
Reporting to the Program Manager, the Integrated Communications Project Manager will be responsible for the Integrated Communications Program, discipline-aligned projects and the leadership of Integrated Communications staff. The role will manage, maintain, support and modernise Communications Subsystems to ensure ongoing operational effectiveness, reliability, availability and alignment with customer and program requirements.
A key focus of the position will be vendor and stakeholder engagement, including strategic supplier relationship management, supplier performance, technical and commercial negotiations, and the coordination of external partners to ensure solutions and services meet contractual, operational, technical and program objectives.
The role will also support Cubic's professional services business, contribute to business development activity, identify opportunities for capability enhancement and growth, and represent Cubic in relevant customer, vendor and industry forums.
You are a commercially aware and technically capable project leader with strong experience across complex communications networks, stakeholder engagement and vendor management. You can translate technical requirements into practical delivery outcomes, lead multidisciplinary teams and contribute to the growth and modernisation of critical communications capability.
This role is based in Townsville, Queensland. The successful candidate will be required to travel throughout Australia and overseas to support this and other Cubic projects.
