Job summary

Cubic, a global technology company, is seeking an Integrated Communications Project Manager based in Townsville. You will lead the Integrated Communications Program, oversee related projects, and manage staff to ensure reliable, compliant, and modernised communications subsystems across Defence programs.

Travel within Australia and overseas is required. The role emphasizes stakeholder engagement with vendors and external partners, capturing opportunities for capability enhancement and growth,

Qualifications

• Tertiary education in business management.
• Background in multimedium communications networks.
• Knowledge of radio spectrum, licensing, RF planning and propagation.
• Experience with DMR, LMR, Wi-Fi, Microwave, LTE, 5G, Geo Stationary and LEO Satellite systems.
• Experience in upgrading, modernising, and future-proofing networks and infrastructure.
• Strong vendor and stakeholder engagement management.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Program Manager for Training Area Technical Systems and projects.
• Sustain CTS operational readiness and availability.
• Develop and modernise CTS capabilities and support Mission System development.
• Assist in capture management for Base and Training Area communications.
• Represent Cubic RF and LTE business by developing opportunities within the program.
• Manage Integrated Communications team staff and their development.
• Prepare and manage submissions across Department of Defence and other Panels.
• Perform discrete project management activities in support of Cubic products and services in Australia.
