Job summary

Riverina Australia Pty Ltd seeks a reliable Intake Officer for our Oakey Branch. You will oversee the efficient receival and intake of grains, proteins and other materials, ensuring quality and alignment with Riverina's standards.

You will work across weighbridge and intake functions to maintain material integrity for feed manufacturing. Ideal candidates have hands-on experience in grain receival or agricultural operations, strong attention to detail, and the ability to process information

• Experience in grain receival or agricultural operations.
• Knowledge of sampling and quality assessment of grains or agricultural commodities is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain records.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the receival and intake of incoming grains, proteins, bagged products and other materials.
• Manage weighbridge operations and the accurate processing of deliveries.
• Verify delivery docs and order information for accuracy.
• Process incoming goods through the stock system.
• Collect representative samples from incoming grain loads using sampling equipment.
• Conduct quality testing to ensure specs and tolerances are met.
• Liaise with drivers, suppliers and internal teams to support intake operations.
• Ensure compliance with GTA testing standards, FeedSafe, HACCP, biosecurity and safety requirements.

About the role

We are seeking a reliable and hands-on Intake Officer to join our Oakey Branch. This role is responsible for the efficient receival and intake of grains, proteins and other materials entering the site, ensuring they meet Riverina's quality and operational requirements. Working across the weighbridge and intake function, you will play an important role in maintaining the quality and integrity of raw materials used in our feed manufacturing operations.

This is a varied, hands-on role suited to someone with experience in grain, stockfeed or a similar operational environment who has strong attention to detail and takes pride in ensuring materials are received, tested and processed accurately.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate the receival and intake of incoming grains, proteins, bagged products and other materials.
• Manage weighbridge operations and the accurate processing of incoming and outgoing deliveries.
• Verify delivery documentation and order information to ensure accuracy and appropriate allocation of materials.
• Process incoming goods through the stock system.
• Collect representative samples from incoming bulk grain loads using grain sampling equipment and established procedures.
• Conduct quality testing of grain and raw materials to ensure they meet established specifications and tolerances.
• Liaise with drivers, suppliers and internal teams to support efficient intake operations and resolve receival issues.
• Ensure compliance with GTA testing standards, FeedSafe, HACCP, biosecurity and workplace health and safety requirements.

What We're Looking For

We are looking for someone who is practical, organised and detail-focused, with the confidence to work independently in a busy agricultural and manufacturing environment.

Ideally, you will have:

• Previous experience in grain receival, sampling, weighbridge, stockfeed or agricultural operations, or a similar operational environment.
• Knowledge and/or experience in the sampling, testing and quality assessment of grains, proteins and other agricultural commodities will be highly regarded.
• Strong attention to detail and computer skills, with the ability to accurately maintain records and process information through stock and operational systems.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple deliveries and competing priorities.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with drivers, suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• A strong commitment to workplace health and safety, quality and biosecurity.
• A practical, hands-on approach with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
