Job summary

Riverina Australia Pty Ltd is seeking a General Manager, Feed Division to lead a multi-site operation across Queensland and New South Wales. You will drive strategic direction, oversee P&L, and guide commercial growth while ensuring safety and quality standards.

Reporting to the Managing Director, this role requires strong leadership of senior managers and cross-functional teams to deliver sustainable long-term performance for the division and customers.

Qualifications

• Senior leader with 10+ years in related sectors such as feed manufacturing, agriculture or FMCG.
• Experience leading complex, multi-site operations with strategic, operational and financial accountability.
• Strong commercial and financial acumen, including P&L responsibility, budgeting and cost management.

About the role

Reporting directly to the Managing Director, the General Manager, Feed Division is a key executive leadership position with overall accountability for the strategic, operational and financial performance of Riverina’s Feed Division.

Leading a complex, multi-site operation across Queensland and New South Wales, the role has responsibility for Riverina’s feed milling operations together with the Nutrition, Sales, Quality, Marketing and Purchasing functions.

This is a broad and influential leadership role requiring a strong combination of commercial acumen, operational leadership and strategic capability. You will lead through senior managers and functional leaders to improve business performance, strengthen operational capability, develop our people and position the Feed Division for sustainable long-term growth.

You will play a key role in shaping the future direction of the Division while ensuring Riverina continues to deliver safe, high-quality products and exceptional outcomes for our customers and the agricultural communities we serve.

As General Manager, Feed Division, you will:

• Provide strategic leadership and direction across the Feed Division, translating Riverina’s broader strategy into clear priorities and business outcomes.
• Hold overall accountability for divisional financial performance, including P&L, budgets, profitability, cost management and return on investment.
• Lead Riverina’s multi-site feed manufacturing operations, driving productivity, efficiency, asset utilisation, reliability and continuous improvement.
• Lead and develop senior managers and functional leaders, building a high-performing, accountable and collaborative culture across the Division.
• Drive commercial and customer growth, identifying opportunities to increase volumes, market share and divisional profitability.
• Oversee the Division’s end-to-end supply chain and capital investment priorities to strengthen operational capability, efficiency and long-term performance.
• Champion high standards of safety, quality and governance, while building strong relationships with customers, suppliers and key industry stakeholders.

What We're Looking For

We are seeking an established senior leader who has successfully led complex operations and can bring together people, operations and commercial performance to deliver results.

You will ideally bring:

• A minimum of 10 years’ experience in senior leadership roles within feed manufacturing, agriculture, FMCG or another similarly complex operational environment.
• Demonstrated experience leading complex, multi-site operations with accountability for strategic, operational and financial performance.
• Strong commercial and financial acumen, including significant P&L responsibility, budgeting, forecasting, profitability and cost management.
• A proven track record of improving manufacturing performance, operational efficiency and business outcomes.
• Strong people leadership capability, with experience leading through senior managers, developing leadership capability and building high-performing teams.
• Demonstrated capability across business growth, change, supply chain and capital investment within a complex operational environment.
• Strong knowledge of safety, quality and regulatory obligations, with FeedSafe, HACCP, quality assurance and biosecurity experience highly regarded.
