Job summary

Mylestones in Mackay and surrounding areas is seeking an Intake Officer to manage the registration, intake and onboarding of people with disability seeking employment opportunities. You will be the first point of contact, welcoming clients and assessing their needs to identify eligibility for services.

Join a person-centred team that develops tailored job plans, addresses barriers to employment, and builds strong community partnerships with schools and local organisations to support referrals

Qualifications

• Passion for people and focus on customer service.
• Commitment to delivering great outcomes.
• Excellent listening and communication skills.
• Blue Card and NDIS Worker Screening Check.
• Driver's licence and/or reliable transport.

Responsibilities

• Being the first point of contact to welcome and support people with disability on their journey towards gaining employment and building their career. Conducting intake and assessment of clients’ needs, to identify suitability for services and eligibility requirements.
• Develop tailored job plans including addressing and identifying barriers to employment to help achieve positive outcomes for clients.
• Build strong relationships and local community networks (such as schools, community organisations etc) to support referrals and engagement for clients.

What would I be doing?

As an Intake Officer, you will play an essential role in managing and coordinating the registration, intake and onboarding of people with disability seeking employment opportunities.
