Job summary

icare is seeking an Events Coordinator for a Sydney-based 6-month contract to lead flagship education programs and events across in-person, virtual and hybrid formats.

You will work with subject matter experts, speakers, vendors and stakeholders to deliver engaging learning experiences and high-quality events, from forums to webinars, while building expertise in event management and learning design. Flexible hybrid working is offered.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering end-to-end events, including large-scale programs.
• Ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders, vendors and presenters.
• Knowledge of workers compensation, general insurance, risk management or a related regulated environment.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver high-quality outcomes.
• Experience with learning, education or capability-building programs.

About the role

Your work helps protect the people, assets and services of the NSW Government as well as aiding speedy recovery and service continuity should an incident occur.

As an Events Coordinator, you will play a key role in delivering large-scale education programs and events that support NSW Government Agencies to better manage risk and insurance outcomes. You will lead the planning and delivery of major forums, webinars and workshops, working closely with subject matter experts, speakers, vendors and internal and external stakeholders to create engaging, professional learning experiences. This is an opportunity to take ownership of high-profile initiatives, including a flagship annual forum attracting hundreds of participants, while building expertise across event management, learning design and stakeholder engagement.

What you'll be working on

• Lead the end-to-end delivery of major education events, forums, webinars and workshops that drive capability across NSW Government Agencies
• Coordinate venues, speakers, technology providers and event logistics to deliver seamless in-person, virtual and hybrid experiences
• Manage participant communications, registrations, event briefings, livestreams, recordings and post-event evaluation activities
• Partner with internal experts and external providers to develop engaging learning solutions, including digital and eLearning programs
• Build strong relationships with service providers, presenters and key stakeholders to support successful education outcomes
• Contribute to the promotion of education initiatives through event collateral, communications and learning resources
• Support program planning, budgeting, reporting and continuous improvement activities across the education portfolio

What you'll bring

• Demonstrated experience delivering end-to-end events, including large-scale face-to-face, virtual or hybrid programs
• Experience coordinating multiple stakeholders, vendors and presenters to achieve successful outcomes
• Knowledge of workers compensation, general insurance, risk management or a related regulated environment
• Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver high-quality outcomes across complex event schedules
• Experience working with learning, education, training or capability-building programs
• Strong communication skills, including the ability to coordinate briefings and explain requirements clearly to a range of audiences
• Experience managing external providers and maintaining project momentum to achieve agreed deliverables
• Qualifications or certification in event management and/or project management will be highly regarded
