Job summary

Capricorn is a leading member-owned organisation delivering financial and business solutions to support members. The Customer Service Officer – Insurance role sits in the Sales and Services Operations team, handling inquiries across calls, email and portal channels with a focus on first-contact resolution and accurate responses.

You will maintain CRM records, update Epicor, and work with Operations, Field Sales and Supply teams to ensure consistently positive service outcomes.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years’ experience in a similar customer service or contact centre role.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage confidently with customers and internal stakeholders.
• Sound judgement and the ability to resolve enquiries in line with business needs, procedures and service expectations.
• Good numeracy skills, exceptional accuracy and strong attention to detail when managing records and system updates.

Responsibilities

• Provide responsive, high‑quality support to Capricorn Members and Suppliers via inbound/outbound calls, email and portal channels.
• Take ownership of enquiries and resolve at first contact where possible; follow escalation processes when needed.
• Maintain clear records of interactions in CRM and complete accurate system updates in Epicor.
• Collaborate with Operations, Field Sales and Supply teams to support positive service outcomes.
