Job summary

Department for Education, Children and Young People in Tasmania seeks an Instructional Specialist for Bothwell District School. The role supports reading guarantees and numeracy improvement with MTSS guidance, working with school leaders and teaching teams to promote evidence-based literacy and numeracy practices.

The appointment is fixed-term and part-time, under the Tasmanian Public Sector Award - Advanced Skills Teacher Band 2, with a salary of $129,640 per annum.

Qualifications

• Registered teacher with full registration under Teachers Registration Act 2000
• Current Tasmanian Registration to Work with Vulnerable People (RWVP) with Employment status
• Four years or more training as defined in the Teaching Service (Tasmanian Public Sector) Award 2005

Responsibilities

• Support implementation of the minimum schooling guarantee for reading and strengthen numeracy practices.
• Promote evidence-based literacy and numeracy strategies and MTSS across schools, including Tier 1 instruction and Tier 2/3 supports.

Education

Four years of training as defined in the Teaching Service Award
