Job summary

The Department for Education, Children and Young People in Tasmania invites applications for an Instructional Specialist at Huonville High School. This fixed-term, part-time role supports literacy and numeracy improvements and MTSS implementation alongside school leaders and teaching teams.

A registered teacher with full registration and RWVP is required, with four years or more training. The role is in the South region, with 14 hours per fortnight, commencing 1 February 2027.

Qualifications

• Must be a registered teacher with full registration.
• Current Tasmanian RWVP registration with Employment status.
• Four years or more training as defined in the Tasmanian Public Sector Award.

Responsibilities

• Support MTSS implementation and evidence-based literacy and numeracy practices.
• Collaborate with school leaders to strengthen Tier 1–3 supports and ensure effective instruction.
