Job summary

Baldivis Secondary College, part of the Department of Education WA, is seeking two permanent full-time Program Coordinators – Instructional Excellence, commencing Term 1, 2027. You will provide educational leadership across the college to ensure high-quality instruction, coach staff, and align with the College Directions.

Lead MTSS and AVID rollout, develop instructional models, coordinate EALD/CALD programs and support Pre-service teachers.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated capacity to provide effective leadership in a diverse range of educational settings.
• High level of interpersonal and public relations skills that demonstrate the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships to achieve planned outcomes.
• Demonstrated professional knowledge and the ability to apply this knowledge to ensure a high level of educational outcomes for all students, (e.g. Aboriginal students, students from diverse ethnic backgrounds and students with special needs).
• Demonstrated capacity to manage physical and financial resources.

Responsibilities

• Lead MTSS Tier 1 Academic Support for all students through AVID framework across learning areas.
• Lead the development and implementation of the college's Instructional Model and Playbook to build consistency and high expectations.
• Liaise with Heads of Learning Area to drive consistent high-quality teaching practice through coaching and feedback.
• Lead the AVID Site Team and Coaching Site Team, and monitor operational plans.
• Use data to identify professional learning needs and deliver tailored training.
• Lead the mainstream academic support program including student case management and intervention delivery.
• Lead EALD and CALD programs ensuring tailored support and outcomes.
• Coordinate programs for Pre-service, Graduate and Aspirant Teachers.
• Undertake administrative duties and liaise with Senior Leadership.
• Undertake a teaching role, if required.
