Job summary

GForce Recruitment is assisting an Australian business in Melbourne to find an Installer Labourer for full-time temporary work with a view to permanent for the right candidate. You will install and dismantle portable shelters, canopies and site sheds, travel to client sites and assist with setup and pack-down, and operate tools safely.

The role requires hands-on construction experience, a mechanical mindset and strong safety focus.

Qualifications

• Experience in construction or site installation roles.
• Ability to read plans/drawings is desirable but not essential.
• Strong safety and quality workmanship mindset.
• Current driver's licence with a clean record.

Responsibilities

• Install and dismantle portable shelters, canopies and site sheds.
• Travel to client sites across Melbourne for site setup and pack-down.

Our client is an Australian business specialising in temporary site infrastructure for a broad range of industries. Delivering portable shelters, canopies and site sheds nationwide, they are known for providing innovative, reliable, and sustainable solutions that enhance safety, compliance, and operational efficiency on site.

Due to continuous growth, our client is looking for reliable and driven Installer Labourer to join their crew on a full-time basis. This is a temporary position with a view to go permanent for the right person.

About the role:

• Install and dismantle portable shelters, canopies and site sheds
• Travel to client sites and assist with site setup and pack-down
• Operate hand and power tools safely and effectively
• Conduct maintenance, repairs and quality checks on equipment
• Ensure all work is completed in line with safety and compliance requirements
• Load, unload and transport materials and equipment
• Complete job documentation and communicate with clients and team members
• Maintain a clean, safe and organised work environment

What we're looking for:

• Experience in construction, site installation, shed erection or a similar hands-on role
• Ability to read and interpret plans, drawings and installation instructions is desirable, but not essential
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
• Forklift, EWP, White Card, Working at Heights or other construction-related tickets highly regarded
• Strong commitment to workplace safety and quality workmanship
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and perform manual handling tasks
• Excellent communication skills and a positive, team-oriented attitude
• Current driver's licence and clean record
