Job summary

Acorn Stairlifts, the Australian division of a world-leading stairlift manufacturer, is hiring Installations and Service Technicians to install, service and repair stairlift installations across Melbourne and regional areas.

This full-time role offers overtime potential, a company van and mobile phone; you will travel locally and occasionally interstate for training, work in customers' homes, and receive comprehensive training.

Qualifications

• Have current full Australian working rights.
• Hold a clean Australian driver's licence.
• Be mechanically minded.
• Have good physical fitness and be able to lift heavy items regularly.
• Be reliable and punctual.
• Have knowledge and experience using power tools (desirable).
• Be able to work autonomously.
• A background in stairlifts is not essential as full training will be provided.
• Role involves working in customers' homes and presenting professionally.

Responsibilities

• Install, service and repair stairlift installations.
• Travel regionally and interstate for training.
• Operate the company vehicle and access replenishment stock.
• Work in customers' homes, maintaining a neat and professional appearance.

To capitalise on this growth and our future plans, we are looking for additional capable and enthusiasticInstallations and Service Techniciansto support our expanding Operations team.

This fantastic opportunity will involve installing, servicing and repairing our stairlift installations.

There may also be the need for regular regional and interstate travel for training.

This is a Full time role with lots of overtime possibilities and you are paid for all the driving, that means from when you leave home until you return back home. Technicians work an average 45 hour weeks.

You take the van home with you, and access replenishment stock at a local storage facility set up close to home.

About You

The ideal candidate will:

• Have current full Australian working rights
• Hold a clean Australian driver's licence
• Be mechanically minded
• Have good physical fitness and be able to lift heavy items on a regular basis
• Be reliable and punctual
• Have knowledge and experience using power tools (desirable)
• Be able to work autonomously
• A background in stairlifts is not essential asfull training will be provided.

This role involves working in the homes of our customers, many of whom are elderly. Therefore, the successful candidate must be well presented, tidy, honest and able to demonstrate pride in a job well done.
