Your resume and cover letter, tailored to exactly what they’re hiring for.
Legend Hire is seeking an Install Supervisor who will lead propping installs from our Spotswood branch across the greater Melbourne area. You will plan each install, run a crew of 2–6, interpret engineered drawings and ensure safe, quality builds on site.
You are committed to safety, capable of coaching installers, and eager to progress toward Project Solutions Manager as part of a clear career path.
Lead the crew today. Run the projects tomorrow.
Legend Hire is a family-owned specialty rental company. We engineer, supply, install and remove temporary works for construction and utility contractors in Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne. Most of that work is propping and shoring, alongside traffic and civil equipment. Our install crews are a big part of why builders keep calling us back.
We need an Install Supervisor who runs safe installs, built right the first time, and who wants a written path to Project Solutions Manager.
You’ll lead Legend’s propping installs from our Spotswood branch, on sites across greater Melbourne. You’ll take an engineered drawing, plan the job and run the crew that builds it, and you’ll look after the builder’s site team along the way. On site, you are Legend Hire.
Plan each install the day before: drawings, components, trucks, crew, access and sequence
Lead a crew of 2–6 installing and dismantling façade retention, needling, back-propping, tramway, tilt panel bracing and transfer propping
Read engineering drawings and load charts, and raise anything that won’t work on site with the Projects Engineer before the crew starts
Own site safety: SWMS, pre-starts, toolbox talks and WorkSafe Victoria compliance. If it’s unsafe, you stop the job
Be the builder’s first point of contact on site, and keep the site manager informed
Capture scope changes in writing, track hours against the estimate and log every job in our systems
Coach and develop your installers, and induct new starters into the Legend way
3+ years on commercial or civil sites with engineered temporary works: propping, shoring, formwork, scaffold or similar
Experience leading a crew as a leading hand, foreman or supervisor
You read engineering drawings and load charts without help
Safety is non-negotiable for you — and your crew knows it
White Card and full driver's licence. HRWLs a plus (or we will get you there)
You want more than a crew. In three years, you want to be running projects
A written career path: Install Supervisor Estimator Project Solutions Manager, with pay steps at each stage
