Job summary

Canberra Grammar School is seeking an engaging Textiles and Design Teacher to connect creative thinking with practical skills. You will guide students from sketches to finished products across Years 7–12, delivering hands-on experiences and encouraging experimentation.

You will contribute to curriculum planning, assessment and pastoral care, while supporting co-curricular activities and the wider life of the School.

Qualifications

• A relevant tertiary degree and teaching qualification.
• Ability to teach Design and Technology to senior year levels.
• Knowledge of coding and making technologies is desirable.
• Demonstrated ability to teach across a broad age and ability range with inclusivity.

Responsibilities

• Teach textiles and design across Years 7–12 with hands-on learning.
• Contribute to curriculum planning, practice and assessment.
• Support pastoral care, co-curricular opportunities and student wellbeing.
• Collaborate with colleagues to create inclusive learning experiences.
