Job summary

Canberra Grammar School is seeking an engaging and innovative Design and Technology Teacher to join our Senior School for a one-term parental leave position commencing in Term 1, 2027.

You will teach across Digital Technologies, Applied Information Technology, computer-aided design, robotics and coding, and contribute to pastoral care and co-curricular life within the School. A collaborative team supports ongoing excellence.

Qualifications

• A relevant tertiary degree and recognised teaching qualification.
• Current ACT teacher registration through the ACT Teacher Quality Institute.
• A valid ACT Working with Vulnerable People registration.
• HLTAID009 – Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation and HLTAID011 – Provide First Aid, or willingness to obtain them.
• A current National Police Check.
• Full working rights in Australia.

Responsibilities

• Teach Design and Technology to secondary students.
• Contribute to pastoral care through the Student House system.
• Engage in co-curricular activities and broader school life.
• Assume some out-of-hours commitments across the school calendar.
