Job summary

Good Shepherd Primary Plumpton in Plumpton NSW is seeking a dedicated Primary Teacher for a Temporary Full-time role for the 2027 school year. You will design lessons, apply inclusive teaching strategies, and use assessment data to improve student outcomes in a collaborative Catholic education setting.

The school seeks applicants who meet NSW standards, hold a Teaching credential, and are prepared to engage with Religious Education components as required by CSPD.

Qualifications

• Must have teaching qualification and eligible status with NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA).
• Must hold Working with Children Check clearance.
• Tertiary degree in education (minimum 4-year or 75% complete).
• Religious Education qualifications or willingness to obtain them per CSPD requirements.

Responsibilities

• Design developmentally appropriate lessons meeting students’ physical, social and intellectual needs.
• Demonstrate strong understanding of curriculum content and learning sequences, including Religious Education.
• Apply effective teaching strategies to make learning meaningful.
• Create safe, inclusive and engaging classroom environments.
• Maintain consistent and fair behaviour management practices.
• Use assessment data to identify learning needs and improve student outcomes.
