Job summary

Astute Early Years Specialists – Sunshine Beach QLD is seeking a Centre Manager to lead a dedicated educator team and build strong relationships with children and families who love the centre.

You will oversee daily operations, enrolments, budgets, and compliance with NQF and EYLF, while fostering reconciliation and inclusive practices. A degree or advanced diploma in early childhood and current First Aid/Blue Card are required.

Qualifications

• Leadership experience in an early childhood education setting.
• Strong knowledge of NQF and EYLF and regulatory requirements in Queensland.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, organisational and leadership skills.
• Current First Aid, CPR, Anaphylaxis & Asthma training.
• Blue Card / Working With Children clearance for QLD.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and day-to-day management of the centre — overseeing educators, compliance, operations, enrolments, and administration.
• Mentor and support a team of educators; promote a collaborative, positive work culture.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, regulations and quality standards (e.g. regulatory frameworks, centre policies, health & safety).
• Foster strong relationships with children, families, and the wider community.
• Drive continuous improvement — including staff development, program quality, and centre growth.
• Manage enrolments, budgets, resources, staffing and reporting as required
