Job summary

Sportsbet Pty Ltd in Melbourne is seeking a Performance Analyst to turn complex data into insights that improve customer experiences and business outcomes. You will lead performance reporting, customer analysis and portfolio optimisation across teams, driving data-informed decisions.

Qualifications

• Experience in an analytical, commercial analytics, or performance-focused role with a strong ability to interpret data and deliver actionable insights.
• Strong Excel and Power BI skills for reports and KPI tracking.
• Experience analysing customer segments and performance to improve outcomes.
• Working knowledge of SQL highly regarded.
• Tertiary qualifications in business/finance/math/CS or related field.

About The Role

As a Performance Analyst, you’ll play a key role in understanding and improving the commercial performance of our highest value customer cohorts. Reporting to the Head of Commercial Value, you’ll turn complex data into meaningful insights that drive better customer experiences, stronger business outcomes, and more effective service delivery. Working across teams, you’ll lead performance reporting, customer analysis, and portfolio optimisation, while helping stakeholders make informed, data-driven decisions.

Responsibilities Include:

• Analyse commercial and customer performance data to identify trends, opportunities, and actionable insights that improve business outcomes.
• Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and performance updates that track key metrics and support decision making.
• Lead customer profiling, segmentation, portfolio reviews, and allocation processes to maximise high value customer performance.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to improve customer insights, operational efficiency, and Salesforce reporting capabilities.
• Present findings and recommendations to leaders through regular business reviews, executive updates, and stakeholder presentations.

About You

You’re naturally curious and thrive on solving problems through data and insight. You enjoy digging into complex questions, identifying patterns, and translating information into clear recommendations that influence decision making. A strong communicator, you can tailor your message to different audiences and build trusted relationships across multiple stakeholder groups. You bring a collaborative mindset, high attention to detail, and a continuous improvement approach that helps teams achieve better outcomes.

What You Will Bring

• Experience in an analytical, commercial analytics, or performance-focused role with a strong ability to interpret data and deliver actionable insights.
• Advanced skills in Excel and Power BI, with experience building reports, dashboards, and KPI tracking frameworks.
• Strong analytical thinking, commercial acumen, and the ability to structure and solve complex business problems.
• Experience analysing customer segments, behaviours, and performance to support commercial and customer experience outcomes.
• Relevant tertiary qualifications in business, finance, mathematics, computer science, or a related discipline, with working knowledge of SQL highly regarded.
