Job summary

Pacific Controls Pty. Ltd. is seeking a full-time Inside Sales Engineer to join our Sydney Office. You will support our process controls portfolio and coordinate with the outside sales team, handling technical queries, sizing and tender preparation.

You will develop datasheets, prepare quotes, liaise with suppliers, and work with project managers to maximise order conversions while meeting OHSE requirements.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience with pressure relief valves, control valves, automation and valve sizing software.
• MS Office experience, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
• Experience using sizing software and CRM systems for quoting and sales pursuit.
• Knowledge of ISO, ASME, API standards.

Responsibilities

• Analyse specifications and perform sizing and selection of valves and related components.
• Develop datasheets and submit technical and commercial tenders.
• Prepare quotes to meet customer specs and review selections for MRO and project quotes.
• Liaise with suppliers and service teams for technical assistance.
• Process purchase orders with suppliers as part of order entry.
• Collaborate with Sales teams and regional account holders to pursue projects.
• Participate in internal meetings to ensure OHSE compliance.
• Align customer stocking, pricing and commercial plans with overall strategy.
• Identify customer concerns and recommend solutions.

We are currently looking to continue our ongoing growth with the addition of a full-time Inside Sales Engineer, to work in our Sydney Office as part of our Sales team supporting our process controls portfolio and product range. The Inside Sales Engineer will coordinate with the outside sales team, direct customer queries, provide technical and solution support and work closely with other vendor stakeholder organisations and project managers.

Key responsibilities of the role include:

• Analysing specifications and perform sizing and selection of pressure relief valves, regulators, rupture discs, control valves, accessories and isolation valves
• Developing datasheets and submission of technical and commercial tenders
• Preparation of quotes to meet customer specifications, review selection and submission of MRO and project quotations
• Liaising with suppliers, service and spare parts teams for technical assistance and troubleshooting
• Processing purchase orders on suppliers as a part of the order entry process
• Collaborating with Pacific Controls Sales teams and regional account holders in pursuit of projects to achieve order conversion to maximise the potential for Pacific Controls products and services
• Actively participate in internal meetings to ensure all aspects of Business Management and Sales are fully understood and implemented in conformance with OHSE requirements and legislation
• Align the customer stocking, pricing and commercial strategic plan with Pacific Controls overall strategies
• Identifying customer concerns and recommending solutions

The successful candidate will also have:

• Ideally 3-5 years of experience with pressure relief valves, control valves, automation and valve sizing software
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• MS Office experience particularly with Excel and PowerPoint
• Strong multitasking and organisational skills
• Experience using technical sizing and selection software, along with CRM systems for quoting and sales pursuit
• Knowledge of different industrial standards of process controls equipment e.g., ISO, ASME, API
• From time to time, you may be required to travel domestically and interstate to attend customer face-to-face meetings and sales engagements.
