Job summary

PZ Cussons in Melbourne (Cremorne) is seeking a Product Development Technologist for a 12-month parental leave contract. The role involves coordinating technical requirements, driving product innovation, and collaborating with Asia Regional Supply Chain to deliver home and personal care products for ANZ markets.

You will manage documentation, participate in marketing ideation, and support cross-functional teams under the Head of R&D. Hybrid work and strong benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Degree in Business, Chemistry/Science or related.
• Experience of surfactants and raw materials.
• Hands-on lab experience; ability to design/run experiments.
• Proficiency with stability testing and claims substantiation.
• Minimum three years in FMCG or Cleaning Industry (retail).
• Strong cross-functional project management.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate technical requirements to deliver products in homecare and personal care.
• Drive new product innovation and core product renovation, balancing speed, cost and quality.
• Collaborate with Asia Regional Supply Chain and vendors to deliver on time.
• Participate in ideation sessions with Marketing to provide technical solutions.
• Manage technical documentation, sourcing briefs, product specs, line standards and dossiers.
