Job summary

AYVA Packaging in Sydney, NSW, is seeking an Injection Moulding Technician to join our production team at our Wetherill Park facility. The role covers setup, operation, and quality checks on state‑of‑the‑art injection moulding equipment, with a focus on safety, waste reduction, and efficiency.

You will collaborate with Manufacturing, Planning and Quality teams to keep output targets, while maintaining clean, well‑organised workspaces. Relocation support is available for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of hands-on experience as a Die Setter or Plastics Technician
• Strong mechanical and technical knowledge
• Experience with In-Mould Labelling
• Experience with injection moulding machine brands (Engel/Arburg/Husky) preferred
• Current forklift licence (preferred)
• Unrestricted right to work in Australia
• Passion for safety, quality, and continuous improvement

Responsibilities

• Set up machines for production and trials
• Perform quality checks on moulds before production begins, and ensure products comply with quality standards
• Start‑up and shut‑down of machines
• Troubleshoot and maintain machines and mould dies
• Respond to breakdowns and reduce downtime
• Work closely with the Leading Hand and Production Team to meet output targets
• Optimize machine cycle times and reduce waste
• Keep your workspace clean and organised

The Role

Injection Moulding Technician

Are you a hands‑on problem solver with a passion for precision and quality? At AYVA Packaging, we’re looking for skilled technicians to join our dynamic production team. You’ll be at the heart of our manufacturing process, working with state‑of‑the‑art injection moulding machines to create high‑quality components that meet our clients’ exacting standards.
