Detmold Group is hiring a Product Technician/Machine Operator at Regency Park, SA. This part-time role (36 hours per week) features a rotating roster with day and night 12-hour shifts.

You will operate and maintain production equipment, delivering packaging products for major Australian retailers while supporting continuous improvement on site. • Experience in a manufacturing and/or supply chain environment is desirable.
• Ability to perform machine setup and basic maintenance activities.
• Understanding of workplace health and safety requirements.
• Basic computer literacy.
• High mechanical aptitude.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate equipment according to specifications.
• Conduct quality checks to ensure products meet technical standards.
• Perform daily paper roll changes and machine cleaning activities.
• Carry out basic preventative maintenance, including lubrication tasks.
• Troubleshoot and respond to first-line equipment issues to minimise downtime.
• Complete accurate reporting on quality, productivity and waste performance.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and maintain 5S housekeeping standards.

About The Role

We are seeking a proactive and safety-focused Product Technician/Machine Operator to operate and maintain production equipment while ensuring quality, efficiency and safety standards are consistently achieved.

Working as part of our manufacturing team, you'll help deliver high-quality products for major Australian retailers, including large supermarket chains, while contributing to continuous improvement initiatives across the site.
