Job summary

Clough Limited in Australia seeks an Estimator to join our Bidding Team in Sydney, Melbourne or Brisbane. You will prepare cost estimates for tender submissions and support ongoing projects with accurate direct and indirect costs.

You will review drawings, specifications and scopes of work, analyse data, and collaborate with suppliers and subcontractors to refine estimates and enable successful tender outcomes. A tertiary qualification in engineering or related field is preferred.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management or related discipline
• Demonstrated experience in building, engineering, construction or infrastructure estimating
• Developing knowledge of tender preparation, cost estimating and project delivery processes
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel
• Ability to interpret drawings, specifications and scopes of work
• Strong analytical and numerical skills with attention to detail

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing cost plans, tender submissions, and accurate direct and indirect cost estimates for construction and infrastructure projects
• Review project documentation, drawings, specifications, and scopes of work to determine estimating requirements and support estimate development
• Gather, analyse, and maintain cost, productivity, and market pricing data, liaising with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain pricing and technical information
• Support tender activities by assisting with supplier quote evaluations, risk assessments, cost reviews, and the preparation of rates, qualifications, and clarifications
• Collaborate with project teams and senior estimators to ensure estimates are completed accurately and in line with procedures
