Job summary

Alchemy Recruitment Consulting on the Gold Coast is partnering with a state government client to recruit a Project Support Officer for an engineering team delivering road infrastructure projects across the South Coast region. It is a full-time, 12-month contract starting ASAP in Nerang.

The role provides high level administrative and project support to Project Managers, coordinates meetings, prepares documents and reports, and maintains records and procurement documentation while ensuring WHS

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a project support, project administration or similar role.
• High level of competency in Microsoft 365, particularly Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Basic understanding of procurement, with procurement or finance experience in an infrastructure environment highly regarded.
• Strong communication and stakeholder relationship skills.
• Organised, accountable and persistent with follow-up and deadlines.
• Willingness to undergo a criminal history check (mandatory).
• Qualifications in business administration, project management or procurement are advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Provide high level administrative and project support to several Project Managers and team members.
• Coordinate team meetings, take and distribute minutes, and prepare documents, reports and presentations.
• Establish and maintain spreadsheets and registers.
• Prepare procurement and financial approval documentation, and assist with tender processes.
• Liaise with external parties and contractors.
• Track project documentation and follow up approvals to keep delivery on schedule.
• Ensure practices align with policy, governance and WH&S obligations.
