Job summary

The Sutherland Shire Council is seeking an Infrastructure Project Planner to lead planning and design of community infrastructure across parks, spaces, buildings and transport assets.

You will develop masterplans, feasibility studies and business cases, and work with stakeholders to deliver sustainable, innovative outcomes for our growing community. This is a temporary full-time role with a 19-day month option via ADO.

Qualifications

• Qualifications in Planning, Architecture, Landscape Architecture, Project Management or a related discipline.
• Experience delivering planning and/or design phases of infrastructure or community projects.
• Knowledge of planning and approval processes.
• Experience preparing masterplans, feasibility studies and business cases.
• Strong project management, stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
• A solutions-focused approach and a passion for great community outcomes.

The Opportunity:

As our Project Manager - Infrastructure Planning & Design, you'll play a key role in shaping the future of the Shire. Working across a diverse portfolio, you'll lead projects through planning, design and approvals, helping turn concepts into well-defined, deliverable outcomes. From strategic planning to business cases and masterplans, you'll help deliver infrastructure that supports our growing community.

About You:

We're looking for a result-driven professional with a strong background in urban planning, landscape architecture, or a related field. You're a confident leader, a strategic thinker, and a skilled communicator who thrives in dynamic environments.

You'll bring:

• Package: $111,776 to $124,574 p.a. plus 12% superannuation.
• Hours of work: Temporary Full-Time Working 35 hours per week. You will have the option of a 19-day month with Council's ADO system (Accrued Day Off). Position is expected to be available up to 24 months.
