Job summary

City of Palmerston is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the full lifecycle of critical infrastructure and building upgrade projects. You will guide from planning through to handover, aligning with the Asset Management Strategy and ensuring safety, budget and quality standards.

You will oversee contractors, engage diverse stakeholders, and contribute to disaster response initiatives. A proactive, customer-focused approach is essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Engineering, Infrastructure Management, Construction Management or equivalent.
• Knowledge of interpretation and application of technical drawings and Australian Standards.
• Experience in project delivery and contract management in building/civil sectors.
• Ability to prepare financial, administrative, procurement and other reports.
• Strong judgement, analytical thinking and problem-solving for projects.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement for customer service.

Responsibilities

• Lead full lifecycle of infrastructure and building upgrade projects from planning to handover.
• Align projects with Asset Management Strategy and ensure safety, budget and quality standards.
• Oversee contractors and ensure compliance; engage stakeholders for service delivery.
• Participate in disaster responses and after-hours on-call roster.
