Job summary

City of Palmerston is seeking a Project Manager to lead full lifecycle infrastructure upgrades, from planning through to handover. You will champion proactive asset management, provide high-level engineering oversight, and coordinate with contractors to ensure safety, budget and quality outcomes.

You will also participate in disaster responses and after-hours on-call shifts, contributing to community resilience. City benefits include six weeks annual leave and a comprehensive package.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualifications or substantial practical experience in a similar role.
• Knowledge of technical drawings, Australian Standards and guidelines for civil/building works.
• Experience in project delivery and contract management in building/civil construction.
• Ability to prepare financial, administrative, procurement and other reports.
• Judgement, analytical thinking and problem-solving for project delivery.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with multiple stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead full lifecycle of infrastructure/building upgrade projects from planning to handover.
• Oversee contractors to meet safety, budget and quality standards.
• Align work with Asset Management Strategy and deliver stakeholder-focused service.
• Provide high-level engineering input and project governance.
• Participate in disaster responses and after-hours on-call roster.
