Job summary

Palo Alto Networks is seeking an enthusiastic IT Admin/Systems Engineer to join our Melbourne infrastructure team. You will troubleshoot and resolve hardware/software issues, maintain a full-stack environment, and work closely with senior staff to support Australia and New Zealand users onsite while assisting remote JAPAC users.

Ideal candidates have a foundational degree in IT and hands-on experience with Windows, macOS, AD, VPN, and AV systems.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Technology, or equivalent, with 2–3 years or 5–10 years of relevant professional experience.
Strong knowledge of Microsoft technologies, macOS, networking, and virtualization.
Hands-on experience with Windows 11, MacOS, Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, Active Directory, VPN, and device hardware.
Experience with video conferencing tools such as Zoom and onsite/remote hybrid event support.
Interest in learning Windows/Intune, MacOS/Jamf, VMware ESX, Cloud environments (AWS/Azure), video conferencing systems, and automation tools.

Responsibilities

Provide IT and AV support and troubleshooting for routine infrastructure issues.
Work with senior IT staff to learn and operate a complex full-stack environment.
Follow SOPs and document actions in IT ticketing systems.
Support Australia and New Zealand users onsite; assist JAPAC remote users.
Assist in automation efforts to improve operational efficiency.
