Job summary

Hamtec Maintenance Solutions – Atherton QLD is seeking a Maintenance Fitter to carry out preventative and scheduled maintenance on industrial machinery and equipment. You will diagnose faults, repair, replace components, and install new equipment across a variety of industrial settings.

Applicants should hold a Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical Trade and have proven maintenance experience in manufacturing.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical Trade or equivalent is required.
• Maintenance Fitter experience in industrial/manufacturing environments preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.

Responsibilities

• Carry out preventative and scheduled maintenance on industrial machinery and equipment.
• Respond to mechanical breakdowns and diagnose faults efficiently.
• Repair, replace and maintain mechanical components and equipment.
• Install and commission new machinery and equipment.
• Perform mechanical inspections and identify potential failures before they occur.
• Troubleshoot hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Work on pumps, gearboxes, conveyors, bearings, drives and other mechanical equipment.
• Carry out shaft, coupling and mechanical component repairs.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation.
• Complete maintenance reports, job sheets and relevant documentation.
