Job summary

Oakey Beef Exports is seeking a Maintenance Fitter to join our skilled team. You will perform fault-finding across mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical and robotics systems, and fabricate replacement parts using lathes and mills.

This role involves rapid response to breakdowns, repairs on pumps, motors, conveyors and gearboxes, with a rotating roster and early start times. Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, you will work with other maintenance tradespersons to keep production

Qualifications

Fault-finding and diagnostics across mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and low-voltage electrical systems.
Experience with robotics in a manufacturing environment.
Minimum Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical Trade or working toward it.

Responsibilities

Perform fault finding and diagnostic assessments across multiple systems.
Fabricate and modify replacement parts using lathes and mills.
Respond to equipment breakdowns and deliver rapid repairs to minimise downtime.
Carry out repairs, replacements and adjustments on pumps, motors, conveyors and gearboxes.
Follow Lock Out Tag Out procedures with safety as the highest priority.
Collaborate with maintenance and production teams to support operations.
