What You’ll Be Doing

Working as part of the maintenance team, your responsibilities will include:

• Carrying out preventative and planned maintenance on industrial plant and equipment.
• Diagnosing mechanical faults and performing breakdown repairs.
• Maintaining and replacing bearings, chain drives, pulleys and associated mechanical components.
• Identifying equipment issues and implementing practical, effective solutions.
• Supporting equipment installations, repairs and ongoing reliability improvements.
• Maintaining high standards of workplace health and safety.
• Working collaboratively with production and maintenance teams to keep operations running smoothly.

What We’re Looking For

To be successful in this role, you’ll bring:

• A recognised Mechanical Fitter trade qualification.
• Experience maintaining and repairing industrial machinery and fixed plant.
• Strong mechanical fault‑finding and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience with bearings, chain drives, pulleys and mechanical drive systems.
• A proactive approach to preventative maintenance and breakdown response.
• A strong commitment to safety, quality workmanship and teamwork.
• The ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment.

Experience in manufacturing, resource recovery, recycling or other heavy industrial environments will be highly regarded.
