Job summary

LASERFAB PTY LTD on the Gold Coast is seeking a skilled Electronic Engineering Technician to support engineers by testing electronic systems, assembling circuitry, and analysing data. The role is full-time and on-site, with a focus on precision in control systems used across industrial automation.

You will interpret engineering drawings, work with test equipment like multimeters and oscilloscopes, and collaborate with production teams to ensure quality and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in electronics assembly, testing, and commissioning of control systems.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and schematics.
• Hands-on with common electronic test equipment (multimeters, oscilloscopes).
• Bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering or related field (or equivalent).

Responsibilities

• Develop, construct, assemble, and test electronic equipment and circuitry per manuals and drawings.
• Install, integrate, repair, modify electronic, pneumatic, and electro-pneumatic systems.
• Interpret AutoCAD drawings and diagrams to ensure layouts meet specifications.
• Conduct inspections, functional testing, and performance evaluations for quality and safety.
• Troubleshoot hardware/software issues and support system commissioning.
• Estimate material requirements and maintain test/modification records.
• Collaborate with engineers and supervisors to resolve issues and implement improvements.
