Job summary

Laserdyne Technologies Pty Ltd on the Gold Coast is seeking an Electronic/Mechatronics Engineer for defence technology projects. The role spans from concept through fielded systems, requiring hands-on electronic design, PCB work and troubleshooting.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor's in Electronic/Mechatronic Engineering with at least two years' relevant experience and a proven ability to work both independently and within multidisciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electronic Engineering, Mechatronic Engineering or related field.
• Minimum of two years' relevant industry experience.
• Practical experience in electronic design, development, testing and troubleshooting.
• Understanding of electronic circuits, PCB design and related engineering principles.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Ability to work independently and in multidisciplinary teams.
• Good communication skills and ability to prepare clear technical documentation.
• Strong soldering and practical electronics experience.
• Australian Citizens or Permanent Residents only.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop systems, processes and products for existing and new systems.
• Investigate complex engineering challenges and propose innovative solutions.
• Implement processes and initiatives to enable continuous improvement across operations.
