Job summary

Lismore City Council invites applications for an Industrial Electrician to join the Water and Wastewater team. The role focuses on safe electrical maintenance, installation, and control systems across water, wastewater, and waste infrastructure.

You will maintain instrumentation, SCADA, and PLCs, perform preventative maintenance, and support planning and coordination of daily tasks while engaging with stakeholders to ensure reliable service delivery.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Electrotechnology Electrician required.
• Current NSW Electrical Contractors Licence (NSW Qualified Supervisor Certificate) required.
• Current Class C Drivers Licence required.
• General Construction Induction Card (White Card) required.

Responsibilities

• Electrical maintenance, repairs and installations across Council's water, wastewater and waste infrastructure.
• Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot instrumentation and control systems including SCADA, telemetry, and PLCs.
• Undertake scheduled preventative maintenance and respond to unplanned faults to ensure service continuity.
• Assist in planning and coordinating daily tasks and ensure safety and compliance with standards.
• Engage with internal and external stakeholders and provide updates on works.

Education

Certificate III in Electrotechnology Electrician

Current NSW Electrical Contractors Licence (NSW Qualified Supervisor Certificate)

Current Class C Drivers Licence
