Council Jobs in NSW invites applications for an Industrial Electrician to join our Water and Wastewater team. You will maintain, install and optimise electrical systems, instrumentation and control technologies critical to our infrastructure, including SCADA, telemetry, and PLCs.

We offer a permanent full-time role with flexible nine-day fortnight, strong safety culture, training opportunities and employee wellbeing programs. Applicants must hold relevant licences and certificates as listed.

Qualifications

• Must hold Certificate III in Electrotechnology Electrician.
• Must hold NSW Electrical Contractors Licence (NSW Qualified Supervisor Certificate).
• Current Class C Drivers Licence.
• General Construction Induction Card (White Card).
• Certificate III in Instrumentation and Control and/or Cert IV in Electrical Instrumentation.
• Telemetry and SCADA systems training or certification.

Responsabilités

• Electrical Maintenance and Installation: Carry out electrical maintenance, repairs, and installations across Council's water, wastewater and waste infrastructure.
• Instrumentation and Control: Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot instrumentation and control systems including SCADA, telemetry, and PLCs.
• Preventative and Reactive Maintenance: Undertake scheduled preventative maintenance and respond to faults or breakdowns.
• Work Planning and Coordination: Assist in planning daily tasks and coordinate with supervisors to schedule and prioritize work.
• Customer and Stakeholder interaction: Engage with internal and external stakeholders and provide updates on works.

Formation

Certificate III in Electrotechnology Electrician

NSW Electrical Contractors Licence (NSW Qualified Supervisor Certificate)

Class C Driving Licence

White Card (General Construction Induction Card)

Certificate III in Instrumentation and Control

Cert IV in Electrical Instrumentation

Telemetry and SCADA training or certification
