Job summary

Lismore City Council invites applications for an Industrial Electrician to join the Water and Wastewater team. The role involves maintaining and installing electrical systems, instrumentation and control technologies essential to water, wastewater and waste treatment infrastructure.

You will operate, maintain and troubleshoot SCADA and telemetry systems, perform preventative maintenance, plan daily tasks, and liaise with stakeholders to ensure service continuity.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Electrotechnology Electrician is required.
• Current NSW Electrical Contractors Licence (NSW Qualified Supervisor Certificate) is required.
• Current Class C Drivers Licence is required.
• General Construction Induction Card (White Card) is required.
• Certificate III in Instrumentation and Control and/or Cert IV in Electrical Instrumentation is preferred.
• Telemetry and SCADA systems training or certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Carry out electrical maintenance, repairs, and installations across Council's water, wastewater and waste infrastructure.
• Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot instrumentation and control systems including SCADA, telemetry, and PLCs.
• Undertake scheduled preventative maintenance and respond to unplanned faults or breakdowns to maintain service continuity.
• Plan and coordinate daily tasks, support supervisors with scheduling and safety compliance.
• Engage professionally with internal and external stakeholders to provide updates and respond to service requests.

Certificate III in Electrotechnology Electrician

NSW Electrical Contractors Licence

Class C Drivers Licence
