Job summary

Infraworks is seeking an experienced Electrician to join their Port Botany maintenance team. You will work on Ship-to-Shore cranes and related equipment in a heavy industrial port environment, providing planned and unplanned coverage as part of a 24/7 operation.

This is a permanent role with flexible shift allocations and strong earning potential. Applicants should have at least four years of licensed electrical experience, heavy industry maintenance exposure, and be eligible for MSIC.

Qualifications

• Minimum four years' experience as a licensed Electrician.
• Strong electrical maintenance experience within heavy industry, infrastructure or a related environment.
• Demonstrated experience in electrical isolations, fault finding and diagnostics.
• Eligibility to obtain and maintain a Maritime Security Identification Card (MSIC).
• Current drivers licence and White Card (CIC) and pre-employment medical/flex screen.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair critical port equipment including Ship-to-Shore cranes and spreaders.
• Work across day, night and weekend shifts due to 24/7 operation.
• Provide planned and unplanned relief coverage across maintenance crews.

We have an opportunity for an experienced and licensed Electrician to join our established team of more than 30 qualified tradespeople.

You'll work alongside our maintenance crews on critical port equipment including Ship-to-Shore cranes, spreaders and associated electrical and materials-handling equipment.

About the role

This is a newly created Guaranteed Weekly Earner (GWE) position supporting the 24/7 maintenance operation at Port Botany.

The role has been established to provide planned and unplanned relief coverage across our maintenance crews, including annual leave, absences and other operational requirements.

This position would suit an Electrician looking for permanent employment, excellent rates and flexibility, while gaining exposure to a specialised heavy industrial maintenance environment.

As Port Botany operates 24/7, flexibility across day, night and weekend shifts is an important requirement of the position.

Essential criteria for this role:

• Minimum four years' experience as a licensed Electrician
• Strong electrical maintenance experience within heavy industry, infrastructure or a related environment
• Demonstrated experience in electrical isolations, fault finding and diagnostics
• Current driver's licence
• Construction Induction Card (White Card)
• Eligibility to obtain and maintain a Maritime Security Identification Card (MSIC)
• Ability to successfully complete a pre-employment medical and flex screen
