Job summary

Tomago Aluminium in New South Wales is seeking skilled Industrial Electricians to maintain and improve electrical and instrumentation assets across a large manufacturing plant. You will diagnose faults, implement reliability improvements and support safety and environmental standards.

You will work with maintenance teams, collaborate with production to minimise downtime, and contribute to the continued reliability and efficiency of critical plant equipment.

Qualifications

• Electrical trade qualification with supervisory capability.
• Experience in heavy industrial, manufacturing, mining, utilities or high‑power environments.
• Strong fault‑finding and problem‑solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform planned and corrective maintenance on industrial electrical and instrumentation equipment.
• Diagnose and resolve faults using structured problem-solving techniques.
• Identify and implement equipment reliability improvements.
• Support maintenance, reliability and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Work closely with production teams to minimise downtime and improve asset performance.
• Maintain high standards of safety, quality and environmental performance.
• Contribute to the ongoing reliability and efficiency of critical plant equipment.

• Electrical Trade Qualification and NSW Qualified Supervisor Certificate

Highly regarded

• Experience with induction furnaces and high‑power inverter equipment
• PLC experience, particularly ControlLogix
• Forklift, EWP and confined space tickets
