Job summary

RecruitShop in Brisbane is seeking a skilled 3D modeller to turn designs into energy-efficient window and door systems. You will lead the design and delivery process, creating detailed drawings and coordinating with architects, builders and designers across multiple projects.

The right candidate will have proven SolidWorks or Inventor experience, strong 2D AutoCAD skills, and at least three years in the building or industrial design sector.

Qualifications

• Proven 3D modelling capability in SolidWorks or Inventor.
• Minimum 3 years' industry experience in building or industrial design.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings and reports.
• Valid Driver's Licence.
• Experience in technical writing, with clear documentation.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively while managing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Create detailed 2D and 3D drawings for windows, doors, and facade systems.
• Assist staff and customers in selecting products and resolving technical questions.
• Manage quotes, orders and test results; organise and summarise product compliance docs.
• Liaise with Architects, Builders, Designers and stakeholders on project needs.
• Support new product development, build prototypes and track tooling across projects.
• Maintain product manuals and technical documentation.

About The Opportunity

This is a hands on design role for a skilled 3D modeller who wants to see their work turn into real, energy efficient window and door systems. You'll be at the centre of the design and delivery process, working across drawings, product support, and stakeholder communication. Your responsibilities will include:

• Creating detailed 2D and 3D technical drawings for windows, doors, and building façade systems
• Helping staff and customers choose the right products, resolve issues, and answer technical questions
• Managing quotes, orders, and test results, plus organising and summarising product compliance documentation
• Liaising with Architects, Builders, Designers, and other stakeholders on product and project needs
• Supporting new product development, building prototypes, and tracking tools and dies across all projects
• Maintaining product manuals and technical documentation

About You

This role calls for a confident 3D modeller with strong SolidWorks or Inventor experience essential. The successful candidate will have:

• Proven 3D modelling capability in SolidWorks or Inventor, along with solid AutoCAD (2D) skills
• Minimum 3 years' industry experience in the building industry or industrial design
• The ability to accurately read and interpret architectural drawings and reports
• Strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a valid Driver's Licence
• Experience in technical writing, with the ability to create, update, and maintain clear documentation
• The ability to work independently and collaboratively while managing competing priorities
