Job summary

IPD Group is seeking a highly skilled Pre‑Sales Solution Engineer - Industrial Communications to join our Product Management and Pre‑Sales team. You will translate customer needs into robust Industrial Communications solutions, from architecture concepts to PoCs and training.

You will collaborate with sales, customers, and partners across NSW, QLD or VIC, travel as required, and provide hands‑on technical guidance throughout the sales cycle, helping us deliver innovative, reliable outcomes.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Industrial Communications or Industrial Networking.
• Experience in sales, pre‑sales, technical solutions, or technical consulting roles.
• Hands‑on experience with Industrial Communications and networking technologies.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with sales teams to understand customer requirements and develop tailored Industrial Communications solutions.
• Design, present, and support technical solutions through demonstrations, PoCs, workshops, training sessions, and technical documentation.
• Provide hands‑on technical expertise across Industrial Communications and networking technologies, including switching, routing, VLANs, and Layer 2/3 networks.
• Act as a trusted technical advisor by supporting customers, consultants, OEMs, contractors, and system integrators throughout the sales cycle.
• Build strong customer relationships through technical consultation, site visits, remote engagement, and industry events.
• Partner with Product Management, Marketing, and technology vendors to provide market feedback and contribute technical content.
• Maintain technical resources, track pre‑sales activities and performance metrics, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
• Share technical knowledge and support ongoing development of sales and pre‑sales teams.
