Job summary

Eastern Guruma Pty Ltd is seeking an Indigenous Recruitment Officer to lead end-to-end recruitment for Indigenous and entry-level positions across mining projects. Source candidates via job boards, community networks, employment services, expos and social media while building strong relationships with Indigenous communities and stakeholders.

Coordinate interviews, medicals, police clearances and onboarding, and provide ongoing candidate support.

Qualifications

• Experience in recruitment within mining or resources.
• Strong understanding of Indigenous employment and community engagement.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end recruitment for Indigenous and entry-level positions across projects.
• Source and engage Indigenous candidates through job boards, community networks, employment services, expos and social media.
• Build strong relationships with Indigenous communities, candidates, employment providers and key stakeholders.
• Provide candidates with clear information and support throughout recruitment and onboarding process.
• Coordinate interviews, pre-employment checks, medicals, police clearances and onboarding requirements.
• Maintain accurate recruitment records and provide regular recruitment updates and reports.
• Work closely with Project Managers, Site Supervisors and HR to understand workforce requirements.
• Develop and maintain a strong talent pipeline for upcoming project vacancies.
• Support Indigenous employment initiatives, engagement activities and career opportunities.
• Promote a positive candidate experience and ensure candidates are kept informed throughout the recruitment process.
• Assist with recruitment events, community engagement activities and Indigenous employment programs.
