Job summary

Eastern Guruma Pty Ltd, a proud Aboriginal-owned civil and mining contractor near Tom Price, WA, seeks a FIFO Labourer/Sampler. The role requires Aboriginal candidates and involves pre-start inspections, equipment handling, and assisting drill crews on a long-term project.

You will hold a current full or automatic/manual licence (HR desirable), work 12-hour shifts on a 2:1 roster, and assist with camp tasks, transport, and site administration. Competitive hourly rate applies.

Qualifications

• Must be Indigenous Australian living in Perth, WA.
• Current full or automatic/manual licence with no restrictions (HR licence desirable).
• Labour experience in civil, construction or mining is highly desirable.
• Experience in FIFO is highly desirable.
• Willingness to complete pre-employment medical, drug & alcohol test and police check.

Responsibilities

• Carry out pre-start inspections on all machinery before use.
• Maintain tooling and return to designated locations when not in use.
• Handle plant and equipment and report any damage.
• Monitor fuel and oil levels during drilling operations.
• Assist bore construction and monitoring of drilling equipment.
• Set up ancillary equipment and develop mud pits and sumps.
• Sharpen and handle drill consumables; operate water/fuel for drill rigs.
• Assist driller and maintenance personnel with servicing and repairs.
• Assist in camp duties and general site administration.
• Transport personnel and move plant/equipment around site; load/unload trucks.
• Clean and organise work areas.
