Ideally, candidates will have a PhD (or progress) in Media and Communication, an established record in teaching and a developing or proven research program with partnerships to communities and industry.

Qualifications

• PhD or substantial progress towards a PhD in Media and Communication or related field.
• Demonstrated ability to deliver engaging, inclusive and innovative teaching and curriculum design in higher education.
• Evidence of research track record through peer‑reviewed publications.
• Experience developing partnerships with communities, industry or government for public impact.
• Commitment to Indigenous knowledge, equity, inclusion and student success within a university environment.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver high-quality undergraduate and postgraduate teaching that centres Indigenous perspectives on media representation and public communication.
• Develop an impactful research profile in Indigenous Media and Communication with publications, partnerships and funding.
• Lead curriculum innovation across digital media, journalism, media production and Indigenous media practice.
