Job summary

Flinders University seeks an Associate Lecturer / Lecturer in Indigenous Knowledges and Culture to join the Aboriginal Health team. You will teach Indigenous knowledge topics, support Indigenous students and advance culturally safe education with innovative teaching methods.

The role involves curriculum development, collaboration with Indigenous Health Education Team, and engagement with community to enhance student success and outcomes.

Qualifications

• 4 years tertiary study or equivalent qualifications in teaching required.
• Lived experience and/or work with Aboriginal communities, with ability to lead community consultation.
• Experience delivering teaching using e-learning platforms and engaging students online.

Responsibilities

• Create, coordinate and conduct teaching informed by cultural education, focusing on Indigenous Knowledges across College levels.
• Plan and evaluate topics with Topic/Course Coordinators.
• Contribute to review, renewal and design of curricula to attract new cohorts and foster critical thinking.
