Job summary

The University of Queensland is seeking an Operations Manager for the UQ Poche Centre for Indigenous Health in Toowong. This 80% FTE, fixed‑term role through to November 2028 leads day‑to‑day operations and provides high‑level administrative and project support to advance health equity for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.

You will develop and refine systems, ensure compliant operations, and foster a culturally safe workplace.

Qualifications

Qualifications in business, management, administration or related discipline.
Substantial relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
Experience with Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander peoples, communities or organisations.
Experience managing operational functions and implementing systems and processes.
Experience supporting HR processes including recruitment and workforce administration.

Responsibilities

Lead the Centre’s day-to-day operations, ensuring responsive and high-quality administrative support.
Develop and improve systems, processes and workflows for service delivery and compliance.
Foster a culturally safe, inclusive workplace aligned with Indigenous knowledge and practices.
Coordinate operational planning across governance, finance, HR, facilities, events and student administration.
