Job summary

The University of Queensland’s Poche Centre for Indigenous Health invites an Operations Manager to lead day-to-day operations, aligning administrative services with strategic priorities. You will drive continuous improvement, supporting Indigenous and health expertise, communities, and partners.

Join a culturally safe leadership team, coordinate governance, finance, HR, facilities, and events, and manage HDR student administration with initiative and strong stakeholder engagement.

Qualifications

• Experience in financial administration and budget coordination.
• Experience managing operational functions and implementing systems and processes.
• Experience collaborating with Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander peoples, communities or organisations.
• Ability to promote culturally safe workplace practices.
• Strong project coordination, event management, and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Centre’s day-to-day operations, ensuring responsive, efficient and high-quality administrative and business support aligned with strategic priorities.
• Develop and continuously improve systems, processes and workflows that promote best-practice service delivery, compliance and operational effectiveness.
• Foster a culturally safe, respectful and inclusive workplace aligned with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander ways of Knowing, Being and Doing.
• Coordinate operational planning and delivery across governance, finance, human resources, facilities, events, projects and Higher Degree by Research student administration.
