Job summary

IUIH is seeking a Medical Receptionist for MATSICHS to deliver high-quality customer service and efficient clinic administration. You will manage client appointments, data, and claims, supporting the clinic team to improve patient access and billing outcomes.

The role involves coordinating daily patient flow, preparing files for health professionals, and processing Medicare and other claims. Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander identity is an essential requirement for this position.

Qualifications

• Criminal history check required.
• Valid driver\'s licence (QLD) with C Class.
• Working with Children check (Blue Card).
• CPR certificate required.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to booking and attendance targets, manage daily appointment lists, call patients to confirm attendance, handle changes and follow-ups, and monitor patient flow.
• Prepare client files and materials for daily appointments for health professionals.
• Provide client services across general, family, child health, podiatry, and optometry services.
• Process PIP, Medicare and WorkCover claims accurately and promptly.
• Reconcile claims against income and follow up errors or discrepancies.
