Job summary

IUIH Institute for Urban Indigenous Health in Caboolture is seeking a Medical Receptionist – MATSICHS to deliver high-standard front-desk service, manage client appointments, and handle client data and claims processing.

You will support the clinic team across General, Family and Child Health, Podiatry, and Optometry while ensuring efficient patient flow. An Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander person is required for this role.

Qualifications

• Current Criminal History Check is required.
• Current C Class Drivers Licence (QLD) is required.
• Current Working with Children’s Check (Qld Blue Card) is required.
• Current CPR Certificate is required.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to booking and attendance targets, coordinate daily lists, call patients to confirm attendance, manage changes and follow-ups.
• Prepare for daily appointments by providing client files and materials to clinicians.
• Provide client services to all clinic clients including allied health and specialist services.
• Process PIP, Medicare and Work-cover claims accurately and timely, reconcile income, follow up discrepancies.
• Support clinic team with general administrative duties and contribute to rising patient numbers and billing.
